Want a Successful Business? Work Like a Farmer: Entrepreneur Feature
It might surprise you to learn that my wedding flower and online-education business boundaries are inspired by farmers, but it’s true!
My dad and his father farmed cattle, and they were and are some of the hardest workers I know and continue to inspire my business even today!
One of the biggest lessons I learned from them? Work starts when the sun comes up and it ends when the sun goes down.
Now, that might not translate literally to my work, but the underlying idea is a cornerstone in my business:
I have clear stop and start times.
If I want to optimize my time and beat burn-out, I’ve gotta have a consistent time when I close my computer and live my life.
If you’re realizing you can’t remember the last time you were really “off the clock,” it’s probably time for some revamped boundaries!
