The Finish Strong Challenge Day 11 - This is just the beginning!
So glad you’re joining me for Day 11, the final day of the Finish Strong Challenge! Today, we’re going to plan how we’d like to spend our work hours in 2020.
Yesterday, we talked about how we actually spent our work time. The secret to transforming and multiplying your work hours is in today’s video! But before we jump into today’s challenge, I want to share one of my student’s story.
“Exactly one year ago, I wrote down my goals for 2019.
I had taken Jess’s course Know Your Numbers: Annual Planning for Your Best Year in November of 2018. I used today’s lesson, which focuses on planning how you want to spend your time in business, and realized that while I still loved working with flowers, the schedule I kept with my floral design business wasn’t going to work in 2019.
I was pregnant with my second child, due in April, and I hadn’t even realized that my floral design schedule wouldn’t give me much time with my new baby.
I thought I wanted a year full of amazing weddings, but what I really wanted was time at home with my baby. Once I planned out how I wanted to spend my days Jessica’s way, that became so clear!
On January 5th, 2019, I wrote down a goal of finding another way to make money so that I could stay home and supplement my floral income. A few days later, Jessica posted in her group for students of her course The Business Behind the Blooms looking for a new team-member for team Zimmerman. Within another few days, I was busy working for Jessica on this dream team.
When April came, I spent my days working on my computer with my baby napping on my chest, instead of pumping in a hot car surrounded by flowers, my new baby at home with my husband or a babysitter.
I never would have realized that how I thought I’d spend my year didn’t match up with how I actually wanted to live my days. Thanks to Jessica’s system, that became super clear.”
